I don't know. Most children seem to draw buildings like pencils, kinda like those in Dubai.

The Ryugyong looks classy IMO. I wish it replaced the ugly scotia plaza in my home city of Toronto

NO child could design these amazing buildings in Dubai. A few towers have a simple form ( like A.A.R. Al Attar Tower or Dream Dubai Marina) but then the cladding or/and the top looks amazing.
And such towers like BK and Almas Towers...yes, they are unique

Well, no child could design this either. It's more than just a triangle, like the Dubai buildings are more than just pencils.

Personally I think this building is a truly fresh and amazing stand out from countless of monotonous apartment blocks, really adding a distinct character that defines the city.

You know that in Canada no one would even try approve to build such a daring, beautiful skyscraper. We're too conservative with our designs..Its too bad

This building shows that NK has balls. Especially back when it was designed in the 80s, this design must have been totally groundbreaking. I wonder if anybody in the West even knew about it then?

Also, expect new photos in April.

Open Windows?

Hello all,

In the previous photos, I've just noticed that all of the rooms have operable windows! I had no idea this was the case.

You can see in most of the photos that at least a few of the windows are open.

Who is living inside this building? I thought it was unoccupied?

Perhaps the windows opening and closing is a sign that the building is being finished on the inside, and not just a concrete block with glazing on the exterior?

What do you think?

Love the building. Hate pretty much everything that surrounds it.
