More pictures please......Good to see pictures that are typically not shown in "fleamarket" media which filters and selectively write negative views of North Korea. If everyone choose to view only negative side of society, then that is not the fault of NoKor, but rather lack of integrity and character of those who like to judge others based on Fleamarket media infomation without confirmation. When you have population with limited information, Fleamarket media information are always true until proven false; there are no other information available. This is evident by some of the commenter(s) who quote media which apes other media. Little funny and annoying sometimes...abit like kindergaten playground; kindergarten kid always claim someone else "said so", so must be true. Take it as abit funny and start to ignore when annoying...

You are pretty right my friend. 2 years ago I started to make a blog about DPRK just because of the propaganda that we can see in western media... They are telling only bad things about DPRK, China, Russia... I donīt think that DPRK is paradise on Earth, but the idiotic mainstream propaganda made me to symphatize with DPRK.
Here you can find a lot of pictures of this hotel, enjoy: http://www.kldr.estranky.cz/fotoalbu...tel-pyongyang/ http://www.kldr.estranky.cz/fotoalbu...ng-nove-fotky/ http://www.kldr.estranky.cz/fotoalbum/dprk-360/ PS. Thereīll be much more beautiful pictures of Pyongyang/Ryugyong hotel soon

Damn this building is AWESOME! One of my favorites! If I had the money, I would buy it and finish it as quickly as possible. It looks fantastic!

You can also see ongoing renovation of the zoo.

Yes, it must be nice to live in NK where you have a special status. I wonder if I could travel there and take pics of everyday life and post them online.

I doubt it.

So, let me get this right: I can go to NK and take pics of everyday life and post them online, can I?

I've been to China and to Russia. I took as many pics as I liked, without official minders guiding me around. This isn't about kindergarten: it's about life and death, and freedom and oppression.

As a tourist you can only take pictures where the guides let you go. As a tourist you can't move around freely in most areas, but you can take lots of pictures from the places they show you.

As a foreign businessman or diplomat you can move around freely in most areas and you have access to the internet (with some websites blocked like in China. Instagram works though.)

There are also a few people with special permission to move around and take pics, like this guy from Singapore who takes pictures from everyday life in North Korea: https://www.facebook.com/dprk360/photos_albums

By your own definition, everything coming out of NK is censored.

'"Good to see pictures that are typically not shown in "fleamarket" media which filters and selectively write negative views of North Korea. What a joke. NK is the original filtering/censoring agency. How do you expect anyone to get a true view of life in NK if the NK state censors what a normal tourist can see? It is precisely the fault of the dictatorship if outsiders cannot see what is going on. You're an enabler and an apologist for the regime.

It can certainly vary. As part of a diplomatic family I had access to the internet (Facebook etc), was able to go around Pyongyang quite freely, and generally had a bit more leniency. Outside Pyongyang, we were still guided and I do get the feeling there was still some serious restriction on what we could see, but I still found I was able to take photos quite freely (aside from asking for permission on a couple of occasions). I was able to share all my photos online - two decent-size albums worth.

Btw. today, July 27, the armistice is celebrated in both NK and SK which ended the Korean War in 1953.
