I meant "precious" - it's another way of saying you're hypersensitive or easily offended.

Funny that there are so many forumers here who are hostile towards North Korea and the Ryugyong Hotel. Just because of a different ideology, this country (like Cuba) had been punished and starved with economic sanctions for almost 60 years. It is still amazing that they can still complete this building. And the more I look at it, the more I like the design. All the haters here can back off.

This tower is losing its 'eyesore' status, that's for sure. There's a lot of potential in Pyongyang.

It may be true. However this may have something to do with the quality of the whole concrete frame. If the concrete structure is uneven (as it probably is) and has generally bad build quality then even high quality glass would look uneven on such a structure. I really doubt they would make adjustments to the concrete core itself.

The following users have been brigged for 3 days for trolling this thread with political crap:

Ukraine
JP_Neptune
Kamstein
skyscraper03
dark_shadow1
aceflamingo23
iDRAFT

If any of you reoffend, next time it'll be 1 month.

I only picked the worst cases of the last 3 weeks, otherwise I would have to brig more than 25 forumers.

Promise, if anyone posts off topic stuff (politics, etc), he will be brigged.

No surprises I guess, both gothicform and me have posted countless warnings earlier. Honestly, we have better things to do than taking care of a lot of brats that can't respect the World Development News forum without polluting it with politics. I had to delete more than 250 posts!

By the way, don't waste your time posting how much you disagree with these brigs. We don't want politics in the World Development News. Feel free to leave SSC if you can't stand it. Of course we are open to some degree of criticism about the projects, cities, etc, that's very usual in this subforum. But keep the political shit out of the WDN.

The building is political. There is almost zero information about it. All we can do is guess about what is really going on.....BECAUSE of the political situation in NK!

How boring if the only posts on this thread were: I think it will be a hotel. I think it will be a tomb. I think the building looks good. I think the building looks bad. I think the concrete is strong. I think the concrete is defective. I think it is going much faster than before etc.
Can you think of something else to say ONLY about the building? Me either.

There is a very simple solution to not having anything worthwhile to say...

All threads in this subforum are about Architecture, not about politics, and this one wont be an exception. We have the off topic forums already for political talk. If people think that they have nothing interesting to say in this thread if they can't talk about politics what's the problem? We have many threads that get only a few posts a month on the average.

Wow, love the crown. I am wondering as per original plans that there will be revolving restaurants in the crown?

Go to the previous page, then. The latest pictures are less than a week old.

Hey man I've got NOTHING against this tower, or the PEOPLE of North Korea. Just their government. Sure it's remarkable that even through all their economic suffering they are still doing this. But that doesn't really change the one way ride their leaders are bringing them down.

My respects to NK's citizens, and their resilience. But to their leaders?

On another note... looking at more photos of this tower...
It is incredibly out of place looking... The random monolith.
