If I would manage that I would organize a global SSC meetup and ask everyone a $5 for a chance to touch me and a $10 for a photo opportunity

It is more likely to cross the Nevada desert on foot and then sneak into Area 51 to take some inside pictures, than to see inside the Ryugyong Hotel.

Yeah...the truth is of course that no one has any idea what the concrete quality is like, or whether it was unstable. Clearly the North Korean engineers don't think so.

Forget the inside, I want to see a shot from the other side of the building.

Me too. The building has three sides. Most pictures seem to be of just one of those sides, though we have a fairly recent shot of a second side.

Anyone know what directions the sides face and the wings point towards? Might be able to determine from Google Earth.

East (a little off east, but close enough), Northwest, and Southwest.

Update on the construction. Usually the side toward the Taedong is shown. This is from the south. The top seems to be covered (the restaurants).

I think they will get a helicopter for that. It isn't a big crane like on the Burj Dubai or something.

It is amazing what a glass cladding can do to this building. Before it looked like a huge concrete monster, but now is more modern and futurist
