They are already doing that. You can see a finished part already here:

Here comes the Parody again and it's getting better. There's a place for that and it's called "Skybar". OK.

Oh, and it's down below the "Club Forums".

I hate this building. It's an afornt to proper construction

My problem with this tower is that it seems to have some structural defects and we can never know if these defects were corrected because everything about this tower is a secret.

It's impressive looking and fun to watch it's completion but would you want to ride out an earthquake in this building?

Nearly all supertalls have been designed and built to strict western standards for safety and seismic movement. Can anyone say the same thing about this pile of sloppy concrete?

Well said.

It has become increasingly clear throughout this revived construction process that we knew far less about this building than we thought or pretended. I will admit to making some patently incorrect statements (if comments from Orascom are to believed) about it when construction first restarted.

I suggest we all "wait and see" and enjoy the eye candy in the meantime. I have to say, it's looking sharp! Going to be one of my favourite skyscrapers in the world if this keeps up.

So you think the NK leaders don't mind if the greatest building project and monuments of their country would collapse in an Earthquake? For them it’s not just a skyscraper, it's a symbol of the NK 'power' and their 'prosperous' nation.

When this building is finished it will probably be in the news all over the world, it will be a statement to the world. Also for the people who live in NK, the farmers, this will be one of the most impressive things they'll ever see. It probably has the same effect that the Gothic cathedrals had on people in the middle ages.
That’s why, even in these troubled times, they are finishing this building, with the small amount of resources they have, even if they don't really need it.I don’t think they are taking the construction of this project lightly. When designing this building many years ago, why would they have ignored safety? Hell, you could say they don’t care about their population, but this 'hotel' wasn't even aimed to be fore their own people. It was designed and build for the rich NKs and foreign people who visit NK.

We have seen in many pictures that the concrete structure has been fixed. We are not even supposed to see any pictures of this so this clearly shows that the construction of this building is not a show but the real-deal.

All the negative talk is pure bullshit; statements like bad concrete structure and the fact that it will be empty are speculations based on nothing!
People said it would never be finished, it would collapse, that the cladding would only be on one side. Everytime those predictions have been proven wrong. Be prepared to get proven wrong a lot more.
I ‘think’ if theres one building in NK that will get finished and fully used its probably this one. I dont see any logic in finishing this and keeping it empty, while its a national monument. Even in NK you just can't hide the fact that a building of this size is empty. High trees catch a lot of wind... and thats exactly what they are hoping for!

There's only one thing we know for sure; after 15 years they are finally finishing it, and there's nothing we have seen so far that suggest they are doing a crappy job, on the contrary.

I was reading that it never going to open. And speaking of NK pride. If this building meant so much to them, then they wouldn't have let it, stand there unfinished for all those years. The damn thing was eye sore so they clad it.

I'm not trolling, someone called it the pride of NK I corrected them. I don't have to love it and I can say what I want lol. And don't say it wasn't a eye sore unfinished.

Thanks for stating the obvious, isn't almost every building an eyesore during construction?
Ofcourse it looks ugly without its cladding.

Is there even any construction/renovations going on in the interiors of the building?...It looks like they're just prettying it up on the outside....
