He's probably an Orascom insider with all the technical documentation, I'd trust him instantly

hotel sans balconies? just not my thing...perhaps a bank/office tower...oh i forgot, capitalism isnt allowed up in the North

the future this and other monuments of the regime will be of great interest IMO, in a future, post-reunification Korea...will these be demolished once the whole peninsula is turned into a capitalist state based on the South?

Wonder if it's only a blue glass facade ... or if it's actually going to be occupied! Still the glass looks stunning - and the city actually looks quite nice with that haze, the trees, this scraper and the flats. It's sad that there's such strict trade embargoes that so many people are living on the poverty line.

Didnt the EU say it would never be structurally safe

I'm pretty sure the lobby and some floors will be finished. Probably one or two of the revolving restaurants as well. These regimes need to show off, so IMO the tourists, or international delegations will be quartered here.

WOW!

Hadn't looked in this thread for aaages and then I open it and it being under construction again. Very impressive. It DOES remind me a bit of some of the official buildings described in Orwell's 1984 (but so does London's rolled up newspaper). But very impressive none the less.

I hope this apparent deal with Orascom signals a more open future for North Korea. I desperately want the country to have a better future.

By the way, there is a good Danish documentary called The Red Chapel (or Det Rřde Kapel) in Danish which revolves around a Danish journalist and two adopted guys from Korea, one of them a semi-famous comedian in Denmark the other a spastic (sorry for not using a PC term here) high school student - who goes to North Korea posing as a socialist thetre group.

http://www.thedocumentaryblog.com/in...he-red-chapel/ - gives a pretty good view in my opinion.

You seem to be confused about many things, including the English language.
