I like it.
Yes, it has a full roof that is retractable. The big windows on the end zones can also be retracted. So it can go from fully covered to almost fully outdoors.

actually seating behind the endzone is quite common over here

The football stadium in Indianapolis from outside looks like a warehouse or an early 20. century factory. But interior is great, i like it. Very strange and original architecture.

CATEGORY B

Stadium Name/Title: AFG Arena
Club: FC St.Gallen 1879
City: St.Gallen
Country: Switzerland

http://www.afgarena.ch/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-9/

http://www.fcsg.ch/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-156/

League Capacity: 20‘000
UEFA Capacity: 18‘000
Architect: Bayer Partner (stadium part)

Remarks : Concerning atmosphere, AFG Arena with its steep stands is arguably the best of the new Swiss stadia. FC St.Gallen has so far increased attendance by more than 25% even though the team has been relegated at the same time as the stadium has been inaugurated. Already 3 home games of the Swiss national team plus training camps of the German and the Romanian national teams have been held at AFG Arena in the few months since the opening in June. An innovative feature is payment handling : the only allowed currency within the stadium premises is the « ArenaCard ». This reduces waiting times at the food stands considerably - among other advantages. Besides shopping opportunities in the basements, there are on the ground floor bars, restaurants, a discothèque and a small open-air fairground. Fans meet up at the stadium long before the game starts and the party continues after the final whistle.

I know the stadium was in use by 2007 but they were still working on the upper tier until this year I believe. Red Bull Arena, future home of New York Red Bulls is a 25,000 seat scaled down replica.

The stadium was basically in full use in 2007 with several international games. And next year, the capacity will be reduced from 30'000 to 22'000 (originally a reduction to 12'500 was planned). So, it will look a little bit different soon.
