Hmm....it seems Berlin is the only city which has problems with the doors.
Nearly every day it happens that the busdriver has to close the door himself with this emergency button on top of the door. And with some buses it happens every 3 stations

Generally itīs the last door....I donīt know, maybe its about vandalism, Iīve seen a lot of (young) people who kick the doors, or sometimes they just open the door with the emergency button between the stops, so they can leave the bus where they want!

Anyway, look at our new doors.....it is only one and it opens like a door from a tram....

Yes this is one part slide door produced by ventura manufacture. They will be standard by the year 2010 with the fourth generation of Urbino.

I would say rather an option than a standard for 4. generation.
Busses for Berlin delivered in 2008 have a door system: 2-2-2.

Bochum, Germany - Urbino 18 hybrid:

Looks like Bochum's buses have the same colours as Gdańsk's buses...

Because Berlin Ordered those door-s, this Urbino 12 New Edition, or how I call it the Urbino 3 1/2 generation will be the standard (exccept the dashboard) for the next year. That doesn't mean that Solaris will not produce typical Urbino if someone wants.

There are manyy of them in Dubai, regular and articulated. While the regulars are not bad, I don't like the articulated ones: They look kind a outdated in design, especially compared with the (articulated) Mercedes ones also available here.

Solaris buses and trolleybuses have sensational design
and looks very good in many various colours.
These two with black belt between the front
lights looks really menacingly

Most or all of Solaris products were designed by studio FT in Berlin, Germany. In my opinion Solaris buses and project of tram are full of simplicity and elegant.
