So, how many remote positions does T2 offer. Connect should get jetways and Lan/Continental not being SkyTeam members should be driving into the terminal instead. I am also looking forward to visiting T2 (finally) in the up-coming months. I will sure that I inspect the terminal inch by inch.

　　人民网上海5月5日电　（记者吴焰）今天中午，77名墨西哥籍人士（其中包括43名在递沪、浙、苏三地的AM098航班上的医学观察者、34名在华墨西哥籍人士）抵达浦东国际机场，顺利登上了由墨西哥政府安排的包机。墨西哥领事馆副总领事安雷先生在转运途中向记者表示，“感谢上海市政府对墨西哥乘客及机组人员的服务，我们对此次转运安排很满意。”

　　据悉，香港确诊的首例甲型H1N1流感患者曾搭载墨西哥航空AM098航班于4月30日晨抵达上海浦东国际机场。为防控甲型H1N1流感，该航班上的乘客及机组人员均接受了集中隔离医学观察。中国政府也暂停接受墨西哥飞往中国的正常航班。经过中墨两国政府的有效期商，我国政府同意墨西哥政府安排包机接回墨西哥籍乘客和机级人员，以及在华其他墨籍人员。

　　上海是本次墨航包机停靠的首站。之后，包机将依次飞往北京、广州、香港，从香港返墨。其中，上海浦东国际机场承担上海、浙江、江苏的搭乘人员转送；北京首都机场承担北京、天津的搭乘人员；广州白云国际机场承担广东、福建的搭乘人员。

　　为确保上海转运工作万无一失，中共中央政治局委员、上海市委书记俞正声，市委副书记、市长韩正对此高度重视，明确要求有关各方认真研究、全力以赴，以极端认真、高度负责的态度，制定完善相关方案预案，确保转运工作取得圆满成功。

　　为转运工作“保驾护航”，市120急救中心承担重任。昨天夜里，市120急救中心紧急调动了27辆救护车，并为所有救护车实行消毒。急救中心副主任顾阿荣介绍，救护车队共配备了12名医生、15名有医生驾驶员，他们全都实行严格的卫生防护；车上配备除颤、心电图等仪器，确保发生意外的医学观察者能得到及时治疗。今天上午，救护车队抵达实行集中医学观察的南汇某酒店，执行转运任务。10：30分起，车队一字排开停靠在酒店门口，每辆车搭载两名医学观察者，随即，秩序井然地驶向浦东国际机场。记者获悉，此次转运过程中共有39名墨航乘客及机组人员，另有6名乘客因在中国留学，将继续接受医学观察。与此同时，还有4名搭乘4月30日墨航AM098航班的医学观察者，由救护车从浙江义乌、江苏常州运送而来，一同前往机场搭载包机。

　　下午13时，墨西哥政府派出的包机抵达浦东国际机场。预备登机的墨西哥乘客惊喜地发现：上海市政府为他们精心准备了送别礼物：蓝袋子里装着口罩、防护手套、达菲等防护用品；透明袋子里装着2010年上海世博会的吉祥物“海宝”。行李车卸货装载完毕后，墨西哥乘客陆续登机，临上飞机前他们不忘回过头，向陪同前往的防护人员、机场工作人员挥手告别、拍照留念14：49分，包机飞赴北京，之后包机还将前往广州、香港，计划于今夜离开香港飞赴墨西哥城。

GOL and AeroMexico Sign Code-Share Agreement

OMA Reports September 2009 Traffic

MONTERREY, Mexico, Oct. 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (Nasdaq:OMAB) (BMV:OMA), reports that terminal passenger traffic at its 13 airports decreased 16.8% in September 2009, as compared to September 2008. Domestic traffic decreased 16.4%, and international traffic decreased 19.4%.
Of total traffic, 97.5% was commercial aviation, and 2.5% was general aviation.

The Culiacan, Durango, and Mazatlan airports reported domestic traffic growth of 10.0%, 4.7%, and 3.1%, respectively.
International traffic decreased principally because of the cancellation of international routes by Mexicana and AeroMexico; the suspension of Aviacsa; the departure of Aladia; and a reduction in passengers on several of the international carriers. Monterrey, Mazatlan, and Chihuahua were the most affected. International traffic at Zacatecas increased 24.9% as a result of growth on traffic on the Chicago and Oakland routes.
The total number of flight operations (takeoffs and landings) in September 2009 decreased 10.9% as compared to September 2008.

AeroMexico Seeks Airline Partner for Merger, CEO Says

Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Grupo AeroMexico SA, Mexico’s largest airline, is looking to merge with another carrier inside or outside the country, Chief Executive Officer Andres Conesa said.
Aeromexico has ruled out a tie-up with Grupo Mexicana de Aviacion, the carrier sold by the government in 2005, Conesa said today in Mexico City. A merger could happen in 2010, and wouldn’t be announced this year, he said.
“There are many alternatives we are evaluating,” Conesa told reporters. “It would be where you have stock participation between both groups.”
Citigroup Inc.’s Banamex unit and Mexican investors won a bid in 2007 to buy a controlling stake in AeroMexico from the government, which had been trying to sell the airline for two years after acquiring the stake during the 1994 currency crisis.
Conesa said Aeromexico’s traffic is beginning to recover from the recession, and will be at 2008 levels in this year’s second half.

MEXICO CITY, Oct 7 (Reuters) - AeroMexico, one of Mexico's largest but struggling airlines, said on Wednesday it was interested in stock deals with local and foreign players to improve efficiency and help get through the global downturn.
AeroMexico and rival Mexicana, both hit by the world recession and competition from low-cost domestic carriers, may not survive unless they merge together or with other players, many experts warn.
"What we are analyzing, beyond commercial alliances, are investment alliances where it isn't a merger but stock stakes between two groups," AeroMexico Chief Executive Andres Conesa told reporters at an event in Mexico City.
Hit by the economic slowdown, airlines around the world are struggling with weak demand and volatile fuel prices. Some in recent years have turned to acquisitions to increase economies of scale.
"We are looking at alternatives in Mexico and globally," Conesa said.
Citigroup (C.N) and local investors bought money-losing AeroMexico from Mexico's government in 2007 for about $250 million.

Im not sure about T2's total of remotes, but as far as I seen, Connect's got assigned around 8 remotes south of the South Pier...

On april, GAP, TIJ's operator, released renders aboout about a project of terminal renewal, but with the current 10 positions, out of which only 2 are capable of 777...

Hi everyone. I love the photos and news updates here -- what a collection!!

I have a serious question for you experts. Due to a schedule change we hadn't expected, our trip from Maine (PWM) to PVR on 1 JAN 2010 is now involving connections in both ATL and MEX. Both cities we have almost exactly 2 hours for connection time.

My concerns are the connection from DL (Int'l) to AM (domestic) in MEX T2.

There is VERY LITTLE information about connections in MEX on line --I'm shocked! I speak good spanish (not excellent, but solid), so I don't expect language barrier issues. My concerns are more about two things I've read about:

1. clearing immigration can take an hour or longer! (Wow. If our flight's running 45 minutes late, this could make a 2 hour connection very very tight.)

2. I understand that AM doesn't post gate departure information until shortly before flight time. Is that true? If so, how do I know where to go?

Many many thanks for any information you can provide. I'd love to hear from people who've done DL-->AM connections in MEX recently and what their experiences were.
