Thanks. It's glad to see it finished. However no details for last stage of this viaduct.
One more important opening this year will be Kairiai bypass - an expressway on A9 road.

By the way here is how a Jakai interchange will look after a 3rd stage of construction. Currently 2nd stage was finished.

After two weeks, on 13th of November, the end of works in Kairiai bypass are proposed to be finished.
Seems, that really just final works are remaining. Some shots by Xedos from ************
Towards Radviliškis town

Towards Šiauliai

Towards Radviliškis

Where old road meets a new one (from right side). A view towards Šiauliai

Towards Radviliškis town. In a distance an expressway part is visible, which is now one year in use

A tunnel croosing

Only one pain is still left - another tunnel crossing construction, but they are building it quite fast, so hope they will finish on time

Wow, it's great to see progress in Lithuania.

Do you guys have any map of the road system in Lithuania?

The Poles have their map with roads, expressways and highways that are completed or U/C. Do you guys have any similar map? Would really like to see it.

There is this map which is on the first page of this thread. However it is outdated by now. There was a newer version somewhere in this thread as well. The major changes from this map now are the following:
- A1 between Vilnius and Kaunas is now mostly expressway (blue)
- A9 stretch near Siauliai is expressway.

Other than that I don't think there are major changes.

After the A1 and the A9, I hope the next priorities will be the A5 between Kaunas and Marijampole and the common section of A4/A16 between Vilnius and Traku Voke. These really need to be 2x2.

Kairiai bypass (A9) was opened for traffic a few days ago, though the speed will be limited to 50 km/h until all of the work is finished.

(c)Xedos, from ************

A few aerial photos of the construction process:

And a few more, of a previously completed section of A9

Lithuania's God-awful traffic intensity...

Based on Google Maps, I made a simple map of Lithuanian roads. I have shown only stretches, that have not less than 2x2 lanes.
Later I will make it more precise and will also make a roadmap of Vilnius as well as including stretches, that are on the construction phase.
The latest construction progress was finished on A9 road between Šiauliai and Radviliškis, where you can see, that almost whole stretch has an expressway status.

Well done. Love this kind of maps. Would be even more cool to see similar map of Vilnius including the existing, UC and planned roads.

One can tell from the absence of snow and the colours of the grasses and trees that the photos were probably taken about July. From the shadows, one can then figure out that the photos were taken about 04:00, shortly after sunrise.
