A southern bypass of Vilnius is supposed to be finished by the end of 2013.

Nice to see construction picking up again.

I was wondering, is the Klaipeda A1-A13 interchange completed?

Yup, 2nd stage was completed last year (October) my post: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=1016

3rd stage will be in some future, because it is not as necessary as were 1st and 2nd stages.

There will be reconstruction to expressway of current 141 untill the planned southern expressway bypass of Klaipėda, which will serve as one of the main roads to the port of Klaipėda.
With the widening, 3rd stage of the Jakai interchange will be started.

This year should be a tender announced for a taking of a land for public purposes. So usually this procedure lasts for ~2 years and after that we could expect a beggining of works.
Environmental impact assessment is already implemented.

Probably Lithuanian road administration has a guess, that it will be finished up to 2020 (they don't like to commit)

I'd like to ask a question. I have seen many bus stops in Lithuania (rural areas) and they are similar to ones in Latvia with only one significant difference - there is no name on them. For example, here you can buy the ticket till "Ķegums", "Pērses tilts" or whatever. It's easy and even foreigners can understand it (if you know where your destination is). How does it work in Lithuania?

A view from A4/A16 road towards A1 road. In a distance you can see a finished 1st stage of construction

Following picture was published in alfa.lt

With the EU having allocated infrastructure development funds to the member states for the 2014-2020 budget cycle, I'm wondering whether there has yet been any movement toward tendering contracts. (Some contracts were already tendered in Poland more than a month ago.) I assume upgrading the A5 between Kaunas and Marijampole will be a priority for the 2014-2020 budget cycle. What else? What about the A8 between Kaunas and Panevezys?

Yes, traffic between Kaunas and Marijampolė is getting more and more intense, so the upgrade will be priority. After that - upgrading the Marijampolė-Polish border stretch. The road between Kaunas and Panevėžys is not that intense as A5, upgrade is planned after 2030. In 2014, reconstruction of Northern Kaunas bypass should start (starting from the widening of bridge through the river Neris), after 2014 - construction of southern expressway bypass of Klaipėda (it will connect Port of Klaipėda and the 141, which will also be reconstructed and widened to expressway standarts), after 2015 - Kaunas-Marijampolė motorway and Radviliškis-Šeduva expressway constructions.
