The final layout is being designed by P&T they said. But we still haven't seen any render.

Thanks Zorg ! OMG ground breaking = release of new design. im very nervous about this project, from the number of renders that we have, only one seems impressive, hence the chances of the new design being good is low, but i hope it will turn out great though.

Only in China can they start construction without even having a design picked yet.

haha theres several projects where foundations have started and the design is still being picked, but lets hope East tower will release the design at the ceremony.

Im very excited about this one, but so far none of the proposals really pleased me. One of them is decent the others just sucked.

I thought the East Tower would have been a twin tower of the West Tower. Looks like I'm wrong.

They don't waste time I guess, by the time they finalise the design, the structural works will be ready to begin

if designing things properly is wasting time, then you're right.

Thats true, but what i meant was the land clearing and hole digging part, its needed for all towers. The SWFC had its foundations laid before the financial crisis in 1997 and it still was able to change its design by first altering the height to 492m from 460m, if im not wrong, and then to change its structural design to withstand terrorist attacks after 911. But yes, i do agree that they should design things properly though

THE BREAKING NEWS!! THE EAST TOWER START IN TODAY!

THE EAST TOWER FINAL DESIGN IS CONFIRMED !!IT WAS DESIGNED BY KPF

the height is scheduled 530m

the news from Guangzhou Daily

  100亿:预计投资超过100亿元;
  116层:规划建设116层高,包括地上部分113层,地下部分3层;
  530米:高530米,为华南地区第一高楼;

OK, I can feel your excitement and its tingling around my body. However, you need to calm down and settle down a bit. I am suggesting you to get a drink or eat something real good.
