Yeah! Now it's definitely topped out

And that before Shanghai Tower!

... And thus pushes Wiliis Tower out of the top ten of the tallest buildings on earth.

That's quite a milestone. Interesting times because it's just the beginning.

SO that's pretty much all the plots in the new CBD filled up now. Only a 300m tower and a 180m tower are left to build and the whole Pearl River new town is done.

are there really no more plots behind the main row of towers or old buildings that can be razed. this is my favorite skyline and i would love to see it grow further . but well, if this is ended that will make room for the new CBD to start soon maybe.

I'm so glad this area did not go with the original twin towers design. I love how Zhujiang New Town is planned yet still has an "organic" feel to it. At least that's what I felt even way back in 2010. The simplicity and elegance of this building shows that it means business!

Gaps seem to be on technical floors. Perhaps they have to lift in heavy stuff that can't go up in the elevators?

After reading the first few pages of this thread of how people were crying about not having twin towers. Now no one is saying much seeing the finished product

I still stand by my comment back then. It is not necessary to have twins, for symmetry, it is good enough to have similar sizes.

Haha...it's fun to look back at old posts in a thread. I love the final product but really wanted to see this one: maybe they can find a plot and build a 600m+ version of this:

I don´t know why is Shanghai Tower added in wikipedia´s list of tallest buildings in the world and CTF Guangzhou isn´t, when ST isn´t topped out and CTF is... Please do you know how to add it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...s_in_the_world

There hasn't been much media coverage on this building, that's why. I doubt most westerners have even heard of Guangzhou, much less this tower, whereas Shanghai is very touristy.

If CTF had 600m, it would be the fastest rising megatal for many decades... Now it is at least the fastest raising 500m+ supertall. However, it´s topped out and it should be celebrated by smiles, it was really fast ride

Actually there are plans for a gigantic CBS behind the canton tower, sticking with the idea of this Cbd. And there are two twin building in front of the Cbd that's owned by the newspaper. Really could tear that down.
