Truth - there are many cities as beautiful as Guangzhou - Shenzhen, Sanya, Tianjin, Shanghai... But your mainstream media want you to travel to Paris, London, NY, Dubai... So they simply show you western cities billion times, but modern architecture in China or Moscow must be shown as leas as possible. That´s why you´ve seen Shard or Eiffel tower trillion times, but you´ve never seen Guangzhou IFC, Canton Tower or CTF Guangzhou

There's no conspiracy by the media to prevent people from traveling from China. Plus you've put Dubai in the "mainstream" section when, if anything, the media generally portrays the Middle East as an area you shouldn't travel to.

More than anything, Western Europe is just more accessible (both from a historical perspective and from a linguistic and logistical perspective) and cheaper for Americans to get to. I doubt the average American knows anything about the Shard...Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower are known because they are old enough to be historically relevant in the educational curriculum just as the Great Wall and Forbidden Palace are.

Culturally, China is simply more exotic and more expensive for the average American to get to. But - among the educated adult population who have the means to travel such a distance, China is a highly desirable destination and the subject of more cable and streaming travel documentaries than you can shake a stick at. Russia may be lower on the list than China and frosty relations between Russia and the West may not be encouraging travel there at the moment, but again, I see no conspiracy to limit access to the architectural achievements in Moscow. And other places like Croatia, Poland and the Czech Republic are becoming more and more popular as destinations.

Theres no sense in arguing with these conspiracy goobers. They dont like rational arguments, and they only listen to people that agree with them.

Values and tastes are subjective, NOT objective or rational (reading books of Carl Menger). Objective and rational is the fact that values and tastes are subjective. Please attent this by your conversation.
If a chinese Guy means, that you should take your own picture of a chinese city, yes, maybe you should and maybe, something in china or in chinese citys are cooler then in the west. But, everyone decide for hisself what he wants to do or what he wants to say or what he wants to think or what he wants to see or what he wants to like, because, that all is subjective. And that is the freedom of speech. To agree, not agree, to discuss or to leave the discussion. There is no last answer for such this situations.

For me, chinese citys are more modern then in the west and i like the chinese style of skyscrapers very much and i like the modern style of chinese citybuildung. but, i do also like other styles. for me, it is not a question of either...or but as well...as.

This tower looks unreal compared to the buildings around it.
