it looks really nice. I think both towers compliment each other. But Twins would have looked better with all the symmetry going on around there.

I think it's the other way around

There is symmetry in the planning (streets) of Zhujiang New Town but architecturally the supposed symmetric objects differ in design and even proportions. I think it adds a bit of fun and sexiness as opposed to uniformal appearance of 'symmetrical' objects.

Finally. I confirm from other chinese websites that they are about to resume the construction.

The tower is scheduled to be completed in march 2015

^How is that even possible? The tower was originally scheduled for completion in 2016. After it's been on hold for half a year, it should be complete at the earliest, late 2016 :/

I shall buy some Tsingtao beer in my local supermarket to celebrate the occasion
Zhujiang New Town skyline is going to look monumental with this tower. I think few people actually realize how many supertalls and other fascinating projects are rising in this relatively small part of Guangzhou... and then there are tons of other projects in other locations coming up. It's just totally insane...

I believe the roof of the tower itself is 1435ft (437.4m) while the helipad goes to 1444ft (440.2)
