The shopping center currently occupying the plot of the East Tower has started demolition works. The mall occupies 3 plots in total: East Tower (488m~), J2-5 Plot (260m, 57 floors) and J2-2 Plot (no design, but expected to be around 300m).

Yes, this new proposal ( The one with the light tube inside and is modelled next to the west tower)is much better than the other two. I hope they keep it something conservative like this one, something similar to west tower yet different but still providing harmony between the two. Ok, I know I'm asking for a bit too much now, but we don't always get new CBDs being built, especially with such a great tower like the West tower in it.

project design will be released mid-May. Just 3 more weeks guys, I cant wait. The design above looks good. Nothing spectacular but at least it doesnt destroy the whole CBD like that taipei 101 lookalike.
