I think it's a really underrated part of this design. Those vertical pinstripes are going to make it feel even taller, and contribute probably more than anything to the art deco feel.

God I wish this was going up in the US.

yep, but I wish the cladding could be more reflective and shiny. it‘s a little bit too dark just like the IFC.

Not really the one in Beijing that is just build (Z15 Plot) is bigger 427.000 m^2 than ST and Sears (Willis) Tower is also bigger than CTF with about 410.000m^2 ... I guess there are also some other more massive shorter towers (like 55 Water Street) that could rival the 410.000 m2 + GFA size

5.7 by why

the steel frame went up for 2~3floors since last update, but the core is still in slow process.
however, the cladding is on the way~~!! we can now get a better picture of what it will look like when it's finished

i thought the core would rise faster with that "special formwork system" on top.

but however, we've much slower projects on earth

The cladding gives the building more of a curve appearance.

I think this one will look 100x more beautiful than similar looking projects like Tianjin 117 and Seoul Lotte Tower. The cladding is awesome.

it all depends on personal preferences. sometimes simple designs can be perfectly fitting, sometimes complex designs do. But this building really did a great job to fit into the skyline. The location makes it symmetrical to cities current tallest and the dark cladding will really work out perfectly since GZIFC also has darker cladding
