The surrounding towers are well lit. That pic looks pretty cool.

Most of the time when the glass is complete it feels done, but there is still so.much.stuff. to move into the building. And decorate every floor. Do they lift some parts with cranes? Or will movers literally move every single chair via the elevators?

I can really wonder about this.

That's why storing threads at the DN Arcives as soon as the cladding is done is completely stupid. They normally take months to complete the interiors, the surrounding gardens and facilities, etc.

we just need a place for completed and visionary projects. not the archives where you cannot post anything but more like a subforum, where you can still talk about buildings when they are finished. at least for the supertall ones

I agree. It should be a matter of adding links in each of the 4 sections to the pages with completed towers.

2 years ago I talked about it with admin (very intensive) and the only thing he/she told me was, that skyscrapercity will never accept threads with finished buildings. So I tried skyscpraperlife and started a thread with Kingkey 100 there. Unfortunately this forum is much less popular than skyscrapercity, but it´s up to us which forum will by more popular...

yes the layout isn't that good and when a project finishes it should move straight to such a sub-forum and not to the archives making it only possible to discuss the building if a new thread is opened.

Is this one of those priceless photo shots where there is normal lighting on the towers (before the dazzle gets turned on) for all the towers?

personally i don't like colorful lighting at all, it's far too much vegas for my taste. it's a shame it's pretty much everywhere these days. white lighting (or none) works much better in my opinion.
anyway, great tower this is. can't wait to see some setbacks.

As long as it ain't overdone, I'm happy with it. I like how structural features of the tower are lit in this example:

if the lighting is white, it usually works. thus, i don't mind the way the ifc is lit in that picture. however, the way they have turned for example canton tower into a giant popcicle doesn't really do it for me. again, too much color reads vegas in my book.
