khm, i haven't noticed there some wrong (official) signs. maybe you got confused because there are 2 entrances which are quite far from each other, i'd say near 10 km.

I remember at least 2 points where the signs are confusing. After passing the 1st one, I was not sure whether me or the sign was wrong, after the 2nd I was pretty sure...

Anyway I might be wrong since I was quite angry due to another "clever" signs... 60 kmph limit on a straight stretch etc.

This road is exactly on the Dutch-Belgian border near Sas van Gent.

So you can drive 70 km/h, but only 60 when overtaking?

I bet one of these signs is closer to the border, so everything is OK

BTW Do you often have 70 in build-up area?

Actually the border is on the middle of the road. Right is Belgium = 70, left is Netherlands = 60.

70 km/h in urban areas is common for arterials in the Netherlands. They usually have no cyclists or direct pedestrian crossings on it.

I see now. Even the cars are parked on 'their' side

But how does it work? Cars driving on the left side (coming to the camera) can drive 60, while cars on the other side can do 70?

Yeas, and more precisely: on the left side of road's axis you can drive 60, on the right one - 70, so it also means that...

So you can only overtake in one direction

Why would they keep it like this? Just because Zeeland is the province that no one cares about?

Can you only cross there when you're 50 cm or less tall?

Crossposted from http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...&postcount=795 :

One of my favorites: bridge over a bifurcation, showing the narrow shoulder widths. As with most bridges in SC, there's a sign giving the overhead clearance even if it's obviously far in excess of any standard. On this one, though, the clearance is listed as 15'-10" (4.8m). "WTF?" I thought. "That bridge looks a lot higher than that, and the other roadway is a lot closer to the bridge." So after I crossed under the bridge I glanced over at the sign over the other roadway, which said "Clearance 19'-9"! The fricking idiots swapped the signs.

Could it be they put the "Zone 60" sign at the wrong side (not left or right, I mean the other direction)? Perhaps the sign we're seeing was actually supposed to be the end of the Zone 60...

Weird anyway.

Greetings,

i didn't and i never think serious about those distance signs, it would be enough for me if they would round all distances on 10 because i naver believe so precisely to them
