That's true.

Barnett's success with One57 bodes well for the rumoured 90-story, 1250 foot tall 225 W57th!

It would take me about 2.5 months to save up enough money to buy one cubic foot of this tower.

Thanks for your response. I love to learn new things about building design. It's fascinating

Went by the sight today. The original crane is now being taken down. It's cab is already below the height of the building and the highest brace to the building has already been removed.

Dino is right yet again. This is getting old :-)

Only one pain of cladding is visible from the street. Nothing at all yet on the 57th or 58th street sides - only on the mid block part of the building. Hopefully that will change soon.

With such amounts it is easy to get mixed up by the numbers. $ 98,500,000.- is the correct number I believe. Still the difference between the numbers will not have an effect on my decision to buy one, or not. It is "just a little bit more" then I can come up with.

First, let me give a shout out to Dino who has generously uploaded my pictures for many months when I didn't have a Flickr account and couldn't be troubled to upload things myself. Dino really makes a lot of the threads on SC special. Thanks man.

But now that I have a Flikr account and took my regular (still only point and shoot) camera down town I will do some updating.

Lets get to it.

Note they were working Sunday and the crane is hauling stuff up the building.

To see the cladding you have to look between these two buildings on 7th Avenue:

There was some discussion before about whether or not these buildings so close together actually touch and share a wall. Note from the picture below we can see they are quite close but they don't actually touch:
