Oh my Libeskind, I didn't know the building was so thin. I guess it would be very hard to make such a thin building with a core so I guess that's why it's without one

An old pic (One57 not visible), but it shows you how much this tower will add to the Central Park skyline.
Maybe someone can do a quick model, so we can see the tower in the pic.

good enough for me.
The CP skyline is going to change drastically within a few years with towers as One57, 432 Park Ave, Tower Verre etc.

If you highlight the positions of 432 Park and Verre in the big photo you posted, cause I dunno exactly where they are gonna stand, I can add those too

I know that feeling. I always feel depressed in fall and in winter even more. I hate fall and winter That's why I'd like to live in Phoenix

Libeskind isn't the architect... The architect is Christian de Portzamparc.

Nice, Nice but it doesn't grow as fast as One WTC and all the others in the WTC complex (?) I nearly would say, it grows slowly, but I can't assess this as good as a New Yorker. Would someone be so nice?

btw, what's the roof hight now? I would guess something around 150-160 Metres.

Approximately 153 meters

Roof height used below!

1WTC = 340 meters or 1115 feet out of 418 meters or 1371 feet
4WTC = Approximately 217 meters or 712 feet out of 298 meters or 977 feet Important note: The height of 4WTC shown in the diagram is wrong, I draw it when it was thought that 4WTC already has steel for the first two setback floors! This was later shown to not be true but I already edited the drawing! The height that is stated here (below the diagram) is the right one!
1 57 = Approximately 153 meters or 502 feet out of 306 meters or 1005 feet

(Note: I used the 418 meter figure for 1WTC when measured from the lowest above ground entrance and I used the 298 meter figure for 4WTC.)

Speaking of spires for some reason it really just occurred to me that this will be the first building to reach 1000 feet without a spire built in NYC outside of the ESB and the Twins and 1WTC at the WTC site.

I am not a person who thinks spires are cheating or anything but this building does seem a little more significant when you think about it that way.
