Any progress on the cladding?
It doesn't seem to have progressed in ages.

In other words - One57 has slipped past numerous buildings in height during its last few weeks of construction.

It is now taller than Americas Tower, the (newer) General Motors Building, the MetLife Tower, the neighboring Metropolitan Tower, Times Square Tower, Three World Financial Center, 7 WTC, One Liberty Plaza, One Astor Plaza, Goldman Sachs Tower, the Time Warner Center double towers, the Exxon Building, One Penn Plaza, the Axa Center, and also its other neighbor, Carnegie Hall Tower. It's also taller than 4 Times Square discounting its long spire.

This actually puts it as the 20th tallest building in New York City already. It is also the 63rd tallest building in USA. And it still has a ways to go.

The 230m Carnegie Hall Tower across the street is still ahead (also peeks a boo in DinoVabec's ESB-panorama to the left of Cityspire). But thanks for your find - it's gives me a thrill to see this already slender tower rising towards the sun.

So is the building's name pronounced "One-Five-Seven" or "One-Fifty-Seven"?

Here are some pictures from today, a beautiful Easter Sunday in New York:

As you'll see, they've just started putting up some new cladding above the curved part:

Indeed it does because it has an L shape and those pictures are looking at the backside of the "L"'s corner so it does make it look more massive than it really is. Also, I think one leg of the L is stopping soon so it will look a lot skinnier going up.
