This picture reminds me of the time when Citispire was the tallest all concrete building in the the US. Then Chicago took the title with 311 South Wacker for a long time until Trump Tower. This one won't bring it back to NY but 432 Park Ave will.

Went all around Manhattan yesterday and this thing is huge. I always thought the renders exaggerated its' size but not so. It really does tower over Central Park.

And you can see it and the crane on top of it from the Brooklyn Bridge.

I really, really can't wait until 225West57 joins it.

I've updated my diagram with the latest progress

Roof height used below!

1WTC = 410 meters or 1345 feet out of 419 meters or 1374 feet
4WTC = Approximately 294 meters or 964 feet out of 298 meters or 977 feet
157 = 275 meters or 902 feet out of 306 meters or 1005 feet

(Note: I used the 419 meter figure for 1WTC when measured from the lowest above ground entrance and I used the 298 meter figure for 4WTC.)

One57 Tops Out

Quote:
It seems like only yesterday we were standing on the 67th floor of Extell Development’s One57, but these towers have a tendency to move fast, and now Gary Barnett has surmounted those final 20-odd floors, bringing his 90-story, record-setting tower to it final height or 1,005 feet over Manhattan.

That record setting price helped Mr. Barnett achieve a record sale on the penthouse, now taking shape, that sold for more than $90 million.

“ONE57 has set the standard for this new era of luxury development in New York City, and this milestone solidifies its impact,” Mr. Barnett said in a release.

It will still be a year before the project is finished and the billionaires can begin to move in, but at least now we can stop gawking, wondering when the tower might top out. At least we’ll try and stop gawking.
