New York peaked waaaaay earlier than Dubai. There was different architectural designs and materials used back then. New York has a lot of things that Dubai doesn't have, such as history and character.

I really don't understand the apparent secrecy surrounding this tower. I can understand their decision to withhold the design from the public for a whole, but as a whole there is much too little information about what's going on with this project.
