It looks like the actual glass will stick up five to ten feet higher than the steel. Where the curve starts on the southern end does not match up with the crown.

What an awesome photo

Finally does the Empire State building have some supertall company in midtown. And this is just the beginning. With all the new projects in midtown the skyline will be drastically changed in the upcomming years. And this is a very good change

No, thats a separate section or "waterfall" of the building. There are two crowns on the top: one main one and another small one slightly lower and behind on the west side.
