It's a very well placed site. The building will essentially unite 432 Park's impressive height with 157's perfect proximity to Central Park. I expect prices for the top apartments to go way beyond 150 millions

This is the Hemisphere House. It's a market rate rental, and therefore, can be easily emptied (though I'm sure there are some rent-regulated apartment, and to get those tenants out would require massive payoffs, which we saw with 220 CPS). There are three empty lots at 52, 54, and 56 W 56th St., all of which are owned by the same entity. Nothing has been built on them for around six years which leads me to believe that the owner may be trying to assemble a very large site.

That is a great shot indeed. I'm having trouble getting my bearings with it though. Was this taken from the Upper East Side? I'm thinking... maybe around 70th?

Obviously taken from the Somerset Apartments at 1365 York Avenue. Between 72 and 73.

I'm pretty sure anyone that has gone through elementary school in the U.S. knows what "Cleopatra's Needle" is

Didn't i just read a post from you in another thread about how your ashamed of what your beloved city has become blah-blah-blah

Anyways welcome to the forums and remember one doesn't have to live in NYC to enjoy it or know about its history

EDIT: Found it..

Well, they get a view of One57... and it's not like they didn't steal the view from the building behind them, either.

I guess the Metropolitan Tower is apartments, they could just move in to a condo at One57. Carnegie Hall Tower is commercial office, and who cares about them.

I think the the Carnegie Hall Tower looks the best of the three, it was good looking from central Park, but this one is even better.
here's another pic of me.
