Went by One57 and all I had was my lousy Iphone but it looks like there is something new on top of the damaged crane - two metal beams forming a pyramid over it:

I know you can barely see it in this picture but I was wondering if this was really new or I just hadn't noticed it before and if it is new could it be related to the derrick?

OPW, your second pic reminds the marathon for which I went to NYC in 2011. But unfortunately, I didn't had the opportunity to see it with its cladding...

Ik takes long, but it's a bit complex job. It will be dismantled, not fixed.
