Great video, if only Morgan Freeman did the voice-over

Is it just me or did the cladding of this building progress much less in the last two months than the cladding of the two WTC towers (1 and 4), even though they are much thicker?

No it's not you, the cladding barely progressed indeed, but they had other things on their minds you know, the crane.

I don't think the actual pillar has to be removed. Just the cabin and the boom replaced and the final steel pieces can be put on.

Has that crane been replaced or what?

Why the hell is it taking so long?

I think they have a small crane lifter on top of the building now, but there won't be another full crane I believe?

Took some pictures of One57 this Easter morning.

A bit hazy but you can make it out from my home subway station. Its between the Empire State building and the Highbridge Water tower in this picture:

On the left you can see the Citicorp Tower and the point of the Chrysler building. Soon we will see 432 Park Avenue here too!!

The first time I see in person that the cab of the crane is gone!!!!

BTW, note all the external window air conditioners on the right. I'm always amazed that more New Yorkers aren't killed by falling AC units. They certainly make me nervous.
