Hopefully the building will start again flying ahead once it arrives and is assembled

I don't understand if the Derrick was strong enough to lift the crane, but the crane is needed to lift the remain glass panes?

Maybe because the derrick stands on top of the building, so it can't close the roof.

If you go back 4 months or so ago, you can see that they actually had to remove some roof beams to install the Derrick.

Big tower cranes aren't used for installing glass.

As Spectre said, they don't lift glass with these cranes. They probably still need to put some more heavy mech equipment on the roof, like a cooling tower or something like that

Mini Crane Flies High To Repair Damaged Jib Over Manhattan

04/23/2013
By Tudor Van Hampton

Quote:
The city's Dept. of Buildings is now reviewing plans to have the derrick lift the 150-ft-long boom to the top of the tower, which will require nearby building evacuations. "I want to make sure all the I's are dotted and T's are crossed," says Commissioner Robert LiMandri, who adds that the lifting may get under way this month. Once the crane is up, about four months of picks are needed to finish the building.

I'm thinkin' that's part of the Health club/spa facilities? ... On their website under 'services/amenities' there's an interior render of the pool and in the next render, a jogger runs on a treadmill overlooking the pool below in front of large, double-height windows in the background.

www.One57.com.

Yeah, that area has always intrigued me every since I noticed how it'll apparently have some interesting lighting going on at night ... (check for that same area in the video on their site above...)

Wow, 4 months seems like a lot. This one will probably get finished as the last one from the trio 1WTC, 157 and 4WTC.

I think the interior here is far ahead of 1WTC.

That might be, I don't remember when last there was an update about interior work on this building or 1WTC
