This is true!... 15 Penn station was just approved and I believe the height will be 1211 ft. Just imagine NYC in a decade from now.. with the new world trade center completed, 15 penn station, Carnegie 57 and Tower Verre!... its going to be amazing!

If anyone would be so kind.. please photo-shop a pic of Manhattan with all those towers! ... would be amazing to see!

This is a lovely building indeed. An addition to the skyscape of New York City.

The diversity of different industries has been a god send for New York's productivity.

Off topic! They are smart for building so many supertalls right now materials, labor, and isn't real estate cheap. Well compared to 2 years ago.

I see echos of the Rockefeller Center's Art Deco/Moderne in this building ... and even a bit of the Chrysler's streamlined curves. This tower is all about New York and it will fit in more than it would in Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, LA, Miami or Philly.

I think for that view of Central Park, the building could have a different style. Suddenly with the windows darker ... Today, only doing so buildings with the same type of glass.

the massing of this tower is certainly interesting. i have to agree with some that this towers render is lame but as was also said it will be a far cry from it's render when complete. yay!!!!!!

From 57th to 58th St. it'll be somewhere around 180 feet long. Width wise I think it's around 50-75 feet. There was a site diagram with the measurements but I can't find it. Maybe someone else has it and can repost it.

But it's going to be really skinny up at the top. Which shouldn't look too bad considering the other "sliver" buildings across the street. But it would be nicer with a little more bulk.

I really love this building. The site is very compact - the two builders in the last house look like they could be building a house.
