pics around 2001 are tough to find online, that's when everyone still used print-out photographs. The skyline was a lot different.
No TWC, no BoA Tower, No NYTT, No 4TS Antenna, no Silver Towers and pretty much nothing north of 59th street to name a few noticeable towers that wouldn't be there.
Still, back then it was the indisputable No 1 skyline in the world.

Wow, I love the fins near the top. Looks slightly art-deco, but not cheezy like the old 90s buildings that tried to do the same thing.
