I love the various "twins" in Midtown as well. With 432 Park and Hudson coming, this view will be even crazier.

Real estate value of Central Park views

It clearly shows how One57 blocks Metropolitan and Carnegie Hall towers' previously majestic views of Central Park. I've always wondered how that affected their apartment prices.

Especially since people are paying enormous amounts for this address, while another tower could equally well rise right in front once more on Central Park South. As a matter of fact, doesn't Barnett still hold up 220 Central Park South by holding on to the last remaining lease on the property. That's to the west of the tower, so not directly in the way, but case in point that such an event could happen.

This article from last year quotes a broker on the seller side of Met tower on a 2-3% price drop. He has an obvious incentive to downplay the effect, so I'm curious if anyone has any other data. Apologies if this has been discussed before: I couldn't find anything.

So majestic. Great vid.

My favorite in the vid is when One57, ESB and the WTC are all in one shot.

Although, One57 just stands above 1,000 ft at Northern Edge of midtown, you can notice the impact it has in the skyline. This will soon change dramatically when 432 and most especially the Nordstrom tower graces the northern edge of midtown.

But there are two Met Life towers!

Although... that can get pretty aggravating, so I guess I see your point.

220 CPS is right in front of Barnett's site for 225 W. 57th, and there's been speculation that he's not going to give up the last lease you mention until his tower is built and the condos with potentially blocked views are bought.

Don't get me wrong, One57 is nice and all, but there's nothing like standing under 8 Spruce Street and looking straight up at it.
