Mercedes House is great. I can't wait for the BIG Pyramid to rise there too.

I saw this from the park for the first time in my life this weekend. I was very pleased with the crown, and the height of it really gives you a new 'big city' perspective from the park. It really screamed NYC to me with its art-deco touches. The funny thing is, I was the only one looking at it in the crowds around me. Most people couldn't care less about buildings, including tourists, most of whom come from low-rise towns which was quite a surprise. Then again, most average NY'ers are probably blase about skyscrapers given that they live with them all the time and this one is not especially iconic or unusual.

The building in the last picture looks very European Baroque.

I passed by that building this weekend on my short trip to NYC. It's very impressive in the flesh. I came across it by accident, as I took the express train and got off at the wrong stop on the 3 line. It is definitely one of my favorite buildings in the city and reminds me of a Parisian style building but on a larger scale.

The Ansonia is one of my favorite gems in UWS. It's really beautiful when you see it getting out of the subway

I'd highly recommend if you ever have a reason/permission to be up there! Meeting with officials there, they gave me and my group pretty much an entire photo opportunity!

That beautiful neo-gothic building on the bottom right is Shepard Hall at City College of NY. Quite possibly the best building in the city (which nobody knows about).
