Such epic shots, I just had to quote them to get them on another page.

But they do show just how much we need that face lit up. I don't suppose anyone has any indication of when that might happen?

Absolutely beautiful.
Well it's in an art deco shape, particularly with the pattern on the very top.

I think he was referring to a "John Boehner" with the Chrysler cupola reference.

I don't understand your comment.

Does it mean this building inspires you to masturbate?

Why has the crane been part way down for a couple of weeks now? Why not lower it completely?

Somebody should stick Tower Verre in there! (And maybe a guess at the shape of 220 CPS, since we've got what sounds like a legitimate figure at 920 ft.)

Poor Chrysler. It's barely visible.

True, but 95% of these other towers going up or planned right now will never be as iconic as Chrysler. Throw in others such as the ESB, Sears, Woolworth building, John Hancock, 70 pine, etc. These towers like One57 will never be able to hold a candle to such towers...even in 50 years

I know, I just hate to see the Midtown plateau creeping up on Chrysler's crown.

Cool! But I wonder if the Nordstrom Tower and 107 West 57th Street are going to be completed by 2018. Maybe they will if construction starts before 432 Park Avenue is completed.

And I think you forgot to photoshop a big section of One57 that's still under construction. But don't worry. This is still a GREAT picture.

By looking at history. When each one of those Towers were built, they represented something special for their time, whether it was the height or the advancement of Architecture, Etc. One57 is a great tower and I love it, but lets be honest, whats so special about it? The crane mishap? The price of the penthouse? If you were to show a picture of One57 to say, someone in Arkansas, chances are they wouldn't have a clue what it is or even where it is located. Now do the same with a picture of the ESB or Sears and I guarantee you will get a correct answer majority of the time.
