Are there any pictures of the base of this tower? Haven't seen any and kind of curious.

I did pass by a few weeks ago and notice them installing the rippling canopy. Didn't get no shots though

i really like the shape of this building but i just cant cope with the cladding on the sides... it gives it a very cheap Dubai look.

I don't see anything cheap-looking about ANY of the cladding on this building. They did a great job.

The cheap cladding is the dark tinted cladding on the top of the tower.

yeah I gotta admit, I wasn't to thrilled with this tower when it first started. But it has grown on me, and now I love it! Great addition to the skyline.

It's the start of a new era of New York's skyscrapers. Very fresh look, thin & tall & different.

I love this building because it is a modern take on the older art-deco buildings. It has setbacks and vertical stripes like the empire state and chrysler buildings but is covered with glass, making it unique and familiar at the same time.

57 Street will be the new "supertall canyon" with One57, 107 West 57th, 217 West 57th, 432 Park Ave (more or less)*

* - It is on 57th as much as it is on Park Avenue.

Will exceed 42, with Chrysler and Boa.
