Yeah, it really contributes to the waterfall look.

That part has turned out so cool. That glass is also a great mirror.

Agreed I love this tower! Can't wait until they remove the scaffolding( hopefully soon), then we could get the true shape of the tower.

Why is the glass at the top a different colour? It looks like a mistake.

Wow. I can't tell you how many times someone has asked that question, and yet, I'm still not completely sure.

What I know is that 1. It's probably not a mistake (which can be reasoned with logic; I mean, if it was a mistake they would probably have uninstalled it months ago. And also it's on both sides), 2. A lot of skyscraper fans hate or at least dislike it (which you can tell from the comments), 3. The idea of it having some kind of function has not been ruled out yet, a least to me, but it seems unlikely.

This was probably an architectual element that was meant to add to the beauty of the building, but people think that it instead compromises the appearance of the building. It was probably added to contribute to the "waterfall" look that fascinates us all. And also, it might have looked better with a smoother transition (look at the first post on this page, 342).

No way. I'm still holding out hope that it is just part of construction but this is some sort of compromise being on the mechanical floors, it isn't the architect.
