I like how small the cityspire building looks in the second picture in weidncolīs post above. Itīs a building that would stand out in many, many skylines worldwide, here itīs just one of them. What i also like in the said picture, is that one really doesnīt get the impression that One57 is really a supertall. It just doesnīt stand out as much as supertalls do in other cities. This distortion of height is something i adore about Manhattan. Where 600 feet building appear short.

I'd probably put Boston over NY. Not by much though.

What happened with the crowns? Is that light testing (which I wouldn't get because it's in the daytime) or sunlight (which I still don't get)?

Reflections Tops of the crowns of each "part" of the building are at a different angle than the normal floors allowing the sun to reflect more off of them.

I know. It makes the top of the building look so elegant and it really compliments the curving on the south side. But really? The reflections must be really strong for that to happen.

Just receiving more sun light, that's all. Much like 1 WTC and its 4 slanted corners all of which are different colors depending on how much light each one receives.
