Floors are really huge. I don't know the measurements exactly but judging from what I saw and comparing to the next building it is about 2,5 floors of a regular building. If we take regular office floor which is 12-15 ft you will get about 30-40 ft per floor (9m -12m), which is beyond my wildest dreams in size.

Yes, it is required by building codes to have rebar inside the concrete.

um, you mean 9 metres?!

it will be interesting to watch this one rise up. it does seem a little slow so far, but hopefully it will speed up soon.

Is this image really under a Creative Commons license or did this person just steal this from a website?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/4642315823/

They have a pretty small photostream and they all seem to be computer renderings of things.

Also what's that new looking building next to the Carnegie 57?

So it's copyrighted, then? Is it even an accurate design anymore?

The building looks great and I cant wait to see it rise. But Im extremely curious: how can they build such a tall building without a core?

I know someone said that steel and framing and everything is very strong, but how strong could it be?

It appears that columns were seeing in the pictures posted thus far are for the podium. The main tower it seems is set further back from the street. Which would explain why the columns in the pictures above appear to be so diaphanous.
