In less than 12 months? What are your sources? They better start pouring some growing liquid into the steel then.. Don't you think that's a little bit optimistic?

My bad..I forgot that the site is 22 m above the sea level..And current top floor of Carnegie 57 is at 72 m..So it's about 50 m tall right now..Not 70..Thanks..

A bit OT, but consider 4WTC is already up to the 19th floor, only 42 floors remain. Silverstein has said it will be up to the 45th floor by 9/11/11 (that may be a little too optimistic, but they'll be close nonetheless). After that 16 floors should only take 4-6 additional months. The mech floors will take longer, but overall 42 floors in >12 months... it's doable*.

*Then again we are talking about the WTC site...

Exactly. And I thought they increased the amount of floors from 61 to 72 right?

The 72 floor count is just a marketing gimmick. It's really 61/62. Depending how you count the top mechanical floor(s).

The one thing that gives Carn. 57 a chance is the fact its floor plate is much smaller than 4WTC.

Yea and that it has been growing fast from the start. 4WTC took a while to take off, and they stalled construction for a while. Or at least it looked like it, they were probably moving on slowly.

If there are 150 residential units in Carnegie 57, how many units will the hotel contain?

210 units in the Park Hyatt. A search on Curbed NY says 135 condominiums.

You mean they are going to begin installing the cladding already?

I think I understand the front side (57th Street) fairly well after looking at the few renders we have gotten, however, I'm completely lost as to what it will look like from 58th St.
