Awesome stuff Momo..Notice how they hooked up concrete block for balance on the crane when new crane part is goin' in..

Also, a lot of new facade holders were placed, I hope we will see some glass soon..

Man, I'd kill for a live streaming from Carnegie Hall tower..

I've been wondering about the building to the right of Carnegie 57. The windows make it appear as if each floor is extremely short. It looks like each floor is just 8 feet tall. This isn't just in comparison to the lobby floors of C57, but also compared to the other adjacent buildings.

Is it just an optical illusion? What's the deal with that building?

The building on the right is 1740 Broadway, at 56th and Broadway.

Lots of working going on today (Sunday) at the site including the construction of some strange decking. Hopefully Dinovabec can get the pictures posted soon.

Looking at those pics, looks like they build platform for construction material..There's little of free space they can use down on the street..This blue thing on the sidewalk is tunnel for pedestrians on top of which is space for construction material..They can't leave it on the street..But looks like that is not enough of space so they need more and they need it closer to the actual construction..That's why is that platform constructed up there..That would be my guess..We should wait and see how will this end..
Also, notice how they extended platform and working space in front of neighbour building..Every foot has to be used..I'm impressed with construction in this city..

Those are RCS P climbing protection panels from PERI..Something similar to blue protection netting on WTC1 and WTC4..
As you can see, those yellow hangers are for those panels..Not for facade..
Those panels will be installed all around the building..Little platforms are constructed on those panels to make easier movement for workers..With the PERI RCS climbing protection panel, the slab edges on the upper floors are completely enclosed..Workers are secure against falling at all times and protected against strong winds when working at great heights..Back on the 58th street (pic 7), outrigger platform is added to the RCS P protection panels allowing the contractor to easily move material from floor to floor..

Here are some pics for better understanding..
