Dude, I'm goin' to lose my head on this thing..

Nothing on PC yet, everything is still on the paper..I'm all into floor heights..And as you said, this tower is a big mess..For now I know that the Lobby is the biggest floor..2nd and 3rd are a bit smaller than lobby but still bigger than other floors..4th floor is also mechanical as lobby, 2nd and 3rd floor, but it's big as hotel and condo floors above..After 4th floor there's 15 hotel floors..20th is again mechanical..It's big as 2nd and 3rd..Then it's 26 residential floors big as hotel floors..47th is again mechanical big as 2nd, 3rd and 20th..Then again 25 of residential floors..72nd is the last one..They are big as those residential floors below..73rd, 74th and 75th are mechanical and PROBABLY big as other mechanical floors..

When I put everything together I get 305 m in height..Carnegie is 306, so I'm that one pathetic meter short..

Next thing:

I found out what type of crane is there..Then I found plans for that crane where I saw how high are those crane sections..Maybe I could do something with this..One crane section is 4 m tall...When I put them together to the height of the building it don't match..So obviously something is wrong..

Then I tried to do something with this neighbour building..It's Plaza 57 At Nippon Club Tower..It has 22 floors and it's 90,22 m high..Lobby and the last floor are bigger than other..I tried to get the floor height in that building by bricks..Yes, bricks..If you look closer you will notice that walls of this Plaza building are made of facade bricks..36 of them on every floor..Then again, I couldn't find brick dimensions because there's hundreds of different bricks in this world..And standard dimensions don't match..

I'm tellin' you man, this is crazy..

^Sounds hard work the brick counting... I'm glad you are trying to be accurate, I LIKE THAT!

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to do an accurate diagram, yours will be better, no doubt. Thanks for the info!

Wow Excellent observation. I have also had some observations and concluded a few things, but I always had doubts about whether the mechanical floors that separate "groups" of the buildings were larger or smaller than the other floors.

You killed my doubts (without intention). Thanks.

If I ever find out the floor height..
Dan Burnett from New York and I from my chair will now try to get to the workers and ask for floor heights..
If any of you new yorkers will be passing by, it would be great if you try find this out by asking a worker..If you'll have the chance...That info would help a lot..

Yes, they are larger because of all those mechanical things they have to put in..Water pumps, storage rooms, tank rooms, generator rooms etc..

2nd and 3rd floors are also bigger because there are Hotel lounge, meeting room, kitchen, ballroom, storage rooms, restaurant and bar...

Curbed, one of NYC's best real estate blogs, had a post about this building today... Seems like people are generally positive on it, and wonder why the MoMa tower can't be built, if this one can!

Very nice pic. Brings back memories of my marathon of 2006 to see this just above the trees of Central Park. Great!

Yes, great pic from Central Park, and Carnegie 57 plus crane are already there. Street views nice, but finally the times slowly come, when this tower improves the Manhattan skyline!

19 floors done, about 78 meters or about 256' ..

Next floor, 20th, is mechanical, so it will be taller than those below..
