although it will be a Supertall, the best view to the tower you'll have from Central Park . 306m is not really enough to make an impact in the skyline, crazy New York

i have to politely disagree with you. other than the roof of B of A which is about 60 ft shorter than One57 (306m vs 288m) just about everything else in that area of midtown is more than 100 ft shorter so this and the others proposed in the area will finally give it height above the many buildings with similar heights in that area .......Citigroup is 912 ft or 278m so that would be the next closest then of course further south stands the King of Skyscrapers

The skyscrapers near One57 are all around or less than 200m, so it will indeed dominate the view from the park.

It will def dominate when seen from some vantage points within the central park, but i doubt it will have a very big impact when seen from lets say weehawken or newport, not to mention astoria park or LIC, since it will be hidden by the buildings from 1st avenue to 7th avenue, Allthough iom curios to see if i am right or not.

It stand out nicely. By the time it's finish, there will only be two buildings, in NYC that roof tops pass 1000 feet.

Its kinda hard to know whether it'll stand out. The Bank of America tower comes to mind, it's the second tallest in the city, but you can only see the spire from most points of view, while the relatively short Time Warner Center always stands out. We shall see.

I can see the BOA tower clearly, all the way from Brownsville Brooklyn. You can also see it going to Newark NJ. Even without the spire, it's taller than any building around it. I said One57 would standout because how much BOA stands out.

I often find it to be mostly obscured by the Conde Nast Building, especially from New Jersey

LOL, there's a flying saucer in that picture

ESB is perfectly visible but if BoA didn't have a spire I wouldn't even notice it. Funny thing is, I notice only it's spire in neraly every NY picture. I obviously can't comment what can be and what can't be seen from different vantage points in NY, but I can tell you, in most of the photos of NY that I saw BoA is barely visible

The ESB is by itself in that picture that's the only reason why you can see it. Put a couple of 500 footer in the foreground and all you'll be able to see is the spire.
