Design: 6/10 Design in relation to surrounding buildings: 0/10 Location: 0/10 Parking: 1/10 Content: (from what I've heard) 3/10 It would work much better in a location like where the Civic Center is, but when it's all jammed up into the corner of downtown it really sucks. Waste of money. And it totally does not match anything around it. Right where it would be convenient to put a parking garage... OOPS, never mind, there's a railroad in the way! Never been there, never want to. If it was a bit smaller to allow for a small parking garage, and more of a traditional style with a modern air to it, I'd like it more. That alone stands out among all the recently built additions in Roanoke as being supremely ugly. The Roanoke police station, Fire Station 1, the newer Roanoke Memorial Hospital additions, and the two new high schools (the "older" of the two, completed in 2008 i think, is where I graduated), all look nice while still having a modern appearance (somewhat less so for the police station), but for all I can tell the museum is just a pile of twisted titanium. (Yes, that's a titanium roof)
