Dubai has a nice skyline, but you overdid it with that gigantic picture, it would have been better appreciated in a smaller size, i.m.h.o.

ok AUSTRALIAS turn!!! i know to everyone outside of australia sydney would be their favourite but there is much more to us!

3 - Sydney pop. 4,300,000
most famous city in the country, i love the density and iconic buildings, but other cities offer more.

2 - Gold Coast pop 500,000
for a city with only just half a million people the Gold Coast is the Dubai of Australia, Q1 is officially #1 in oz at 322m and it is constantly building more modern and taller buildings to accomodate its booming population and its main economic driver, tourists!

AND NUMBER #1 IS...

MELBOURNE pop 3,950,000

Australias second city takes a backseat to sydney at times but in recent years (and in the years to come) it has outgrown and out built sydeny, 6 of the countries 10 tallest buildings are in Melbourne and there is still plenty of historical architecture to keep both the modernists and the historical lovers happy! MELBOURNE HAS IT ALL!!!

Yep, excellent choices.

Gold Coast beats out Brisbane or Perth or any other Australian city on account of one simple thing. Hotels. Yep, hotels. With limited actual office buildings, the nice view of hotels along a strip of beach is what makes the skyline far superior than other Australian cities.

Personally I like a little bit more Cali's skyline than Medellin's...
SO for ME, the top 3 in Colombia should be:

1. Cartagena
2. Bogotá
3. Cali:

4. Edinburgh:The UK's best historic skyline and also one of its most iconic and dramatic.

3. Birmingham: Despite being a lot denser than Liverpool's, this skyline unfortunately looses out due to the quality of design. However, there are some UK icons, such as the unique Selfridges store.

2. Liverpool boasts the UK's newest and best designed skyline outside of London. The varied skyline includes the 140m Beetham, Radio City tower, Anglican cathedral and 100 year old, 90m Liver Building - including many more cutting edge highrises.

1. London showcases some of the worlds most iconic structures, from the London Eye to the Gherkin. Together, and including the 310m Shard and 288m Pinnacle, currently U/C, London isn't only the UK's best skyline, but one of Europe's best.

Manchester, then Leeds would be 5th& 6th.
