Connecting the 2 airports

Has anyone given thought to options for directly connecting CSIA and Navi Mumbai's airport, if and when it does get built?? A dedicated point to point high speed rail connection should be swell.....

The non-swp pics are those of the processor, and the red crane is significant as this type of crane is used to slide steel girders and members across its structure until they reach their desired location to form the head house (which is that plectrum-shaped structure forming the check-in hall etc as seen in the original renders)."

i dont understand why the authority keep current airport on current location, its can be shift out by build another better airport since current airport surrounding is crowded.

Both international and domestic airport will take more than 30 mins to reach each other. its not well planned.

Meanwhile, current airport future development will be restricted by building and slum surrouding the airport. its totally not a good idea to keep current airport....

The site for the Navi (New) Mumbai airport has been given environmental clearance after a hectic rounds of negotiations and perhaps lobbying. The detailed plan and tenders for the same should be out sooner. You can follow this thread for updates:

Thanks

Mean the NMIA will relieve CSIA surrounding serious traffic?

But i my opinion, if there is another NMIA will be build, relocate CSIA still a good way for Mumbai suburban future development. there is no way to make a business man, tourist or passenger to face serious traffic jam before reach CSIA.

^ A city of the size of Mumbai can be well served by more than one airports . If the capacity of the new airport is large enough, we can atleast reduce the burden on CSIA.

Yeah, Just like New York City, Shanghai, London or Bangkok, all this multi million cities are serve by more than one big scale airport.

Mumbai should have another brand new airport too since it has became the financial hub in South Asia.

NMIA is build and CSIA relocate after will be so much perfect !!!

CSIA is located on the "neck" of Mumbai Metropolitan Region which huge number of suburban citizen travel to South Mumbai daily through area around CSIA, thats the main reason cause nightmare on Mumbai traffic choas.

I'm not an aviation expert, but NMIA can do well to handle bigger share of the traffic whose final destination is not Mumbai. I m not sure how to identify that from the other traffic, but I hope they have a way to do that !!
Atleast , flights with a stopover in Mumbai can land at NMIA.
