SARAJEVO - construction update

Sarajevo, joins with Zagreb (Croatia) & Ljubljana (Slovenia) in a construction boom of new highrise towers.

Currently Sarajevo is constructing the tallest towers in the Balkans with a pair of twins ...... Bosmal City Centre (117m)!

Anyway, here are a number of projects recently completed or nearing completion. Some of these are reconstructed buildings damaged in the war, but a number are new ones ........

UNIS Towers

VODOPRIVREDA Head Office

MERKATOR Centar

ELEKTROPRIVREDA Head Office

WISA Centar

Drustveni Fond PIO Office Tower

GO SARAJEVO!!!!!

A lot of the cladding/facade work was done by a local Sarajevo company MAL d.d.o which has done a number of important jobs in Slovenia, Croatia, Poland & Ukraine.

by the way litlle corection for bosmal

they are now at 107 m, and they miscalculated, actual height will be 118 m, not 117, like dnevni avaz says,, since rotating restaurant will be placed on 118 m top, one of a kind in this part of the world

they did 98 000 m2 for now, they plan few 1000m2 more, but actually they are nearing construction
maybe in a month or so?

but the coolest BUILDINGS in sarajevo are 3 dnevni avaz towers, only 3x65 m, but so cool, some say they will be most beautifull small buildings in europe

as for bosmal building u can check this website in english

see hows it going, progress and all

Bosmal City Centar dostigao 106 metara!

Bosmal City Centar dostigao 106 metara...

Tehnologije i njihova primjena u izgradnji Bosmal City Centra...

Izgradnja ''Bosmal'' mosta na Čengić Vili napreduje bez obzira na niske tempera- ture..

I've seen the pictures of those new Avaz towers (somewhere online, don't remember where). They are very nice! One of them will have a rotating restaurant on top as well. The towers will be constructed in Ilidza (Suburb - The exclamation point of Sarajevo). They will be 80 meters high, not 65.

More projects in Ilidza:

Yes, Sarajevo is reuilding fast. Some estimate that in 2-3 years Sarajevo will be the biggest construction site in Europe.

I was not, but I was read on the one Bosnian architectural forum that Avaz new towers are under construction on the same plaice where was in the war completely destroyed Oslobodjenje Twin Towers, and that rotating restaurant are now on the top of the one tower. Construction will be completed in the November, December this year.

Sarajevo is getting better & better. No doubt new towers on the ruins of "Oslobodenje" will be great. If someone ever finds pics of these new "AVAZ" buildings, make sure to post them here!

wel iv seen them, they are near end or are they finishes, i think they are finished, but im not sure

as for the buildings thereare three medium sized towers each is around 65 meters, so thats 3x65 m, and they look nice, with rotating restaurant on the top of one building

building is more western type all black, with more glass so when there is sun makes that building very hot, ublike some concrete building of older days

well i wish i could find it on the web, but unfortunately i wasnt that lucky, maybe i will find it, hopefully
