Grand Media Hotel and Conventional Center Sarajevo

Secondly work is also set to commence on another office tower for Sarajevo. The project will to be called Grand Media Hotel and Conventional Center Sarajevo will include a new 22 level office tower next to the Sarajevo Holiday Inn which was purchased late last year by Austrian company Alpha Baumanagement. Cantonal Privatisation Agency and Austrian company Alpha Baumanagement signed the Contract on Sale and Purchase of the Sarajevo hotel Holiday Inn

The official ceremony of signing the Contract on Sale and Purchase by the Cantonal Privatisation Agency and the company Alpha Baumanagement from Villach, Austria was held on Monday, 10 November 2003, with the beginning at 2 p.m., in Sarajevo. The signing of this Contract marked officialy the result of the tender on sale of the Holiday Inn hotel. The aforementioned Austrian company was the only bidder and consequently the winner of the tender. The company Alpha Baumanagement is in this project supported by Hypo–Alpe-Adria Holding, which is represented in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Hypo-Alpe-Adria-Consultants Sarajevo.

The Holiday Inn hotel was sold for KM 44.5 mil.

The company Alpha Baumanagement represented after the signing ceremony its project ''Hotel Grand Media'' Ljubljana. The most modern world standards from the catering field are being applied in the construction of this hotel. The similar standards should be applied for the future project of Holiday Inn hotel. Alpha Baumanagement plans to enlarge the existing accommodation and catering capacities for additional 35 000 m2. The project of capacities enlargement and improvement envisages also the construction of 22-floor tower, including two presidential floors, business suite, de luxe suites, wellness and fitness centre (swimming-pools, saunas etc.) with Western standards applied, gastronomic market zone and a large above-ground garage with the capacity of 700 vehicles. The centre will be named Grand Media Hotel & Convention Centre Sarajevo.
In addition to the amount of KM 44,5 mil. paid for purchasing the Holiday Inn hotel, the company plans to invest another KM 77,5 mil. for the hotel advancement and deployment of 800 - 1000 new employees.

“Hypo Alpe-Adria Group has already been pronounced the largest investor in BiH, but nevertheless it is still eager to invest in the region. Large amounts of money will certainly be put into tourism. It is worth mentioning that Hypo Alpe-Adria Group has been engaged in the projects, which connect the countries of the Alpe-Adria region and brings them closer to modern Western standards, what is the final goal of the state of BiH.” – said the director of Hypo Alpe-Adria-Consultants, Mr. Alexandra Petritz.
There is also plans for a 3rd Unitec Tower!

GO SARAJEVO!

Please, this is Sarajevo Construction Update and I hope so that you will not use this thread for discussions with Serbs.

Zagreb officials were visited Sarajevo in July this year and they discussed with theirs friends in Sarajevo just that what we discuss here, about skyscrapers, skylines and construction of those things in one city.

I agree that Sarajevo and Zagreb are both building like crazy mother f******** and I love it too! When I read about some new project in those cities, first I think it is lie or something like that, but than when I see construction pictures, than I realise those were real things.

Great and I can not wait that Bosmal finish those BCC Towers and start new project.

But it is bad that Avaz Tower and Bosmal City Center Towers are not in Marija Dvor District in Sarajevo somewhere near Holiday Inn. It will be something like Sarajevo's La Defense. Of course much smaller than Paris La Defense.

Exactly what I would have said. Building in the one spot creates a definitive business district and a highrise commercial area. So far, Sarajevo has made a great start.

The Bosmal twins are looking great and it would have been better if they were in the same neighbourhood. What I think anyway is that they will form part of a new higrise residential district for Sarajevo.

Sarajevo has a great natural backdrop which is supported with a fine city full of history and some of the regions best historic and modern architecture.

I wish they could make a business cluster there.. that would be fantastic... but its questionable. What do you do about all those communist era apartments all around... we really should get rid of those but theres probably 1000+ people living there. The buildings that arent apartment buildings are all like a 100 years old (National Museum, Saint Josip's Church), you obviously cant get rid of those.

But if they could make that a modern business sector that would be amazing because then you'd have the Ottoman, Western, and modern skyscraper sections of the city right next to each other.

Yes, as you have noticed, the building's being built are getting closer and closer. Hopefully soon, you will be able to see all the building's clustered so they can fit in a picture as an impressive skyline. Time will tell...

’Put’ gradi autocestu Podlugovi - Visoko

Jučerašnjim potpisivanjem Ugovora o izgradnji dionice Visoko–Podlugovi, GP Put d.d.

Vrijednost novonabavljene opreme iznosi oko 3,5 milijuna KM.
