We still don't know because the project will be presented in the next month. But i know there is a proposal of lower the pitch to aproach the seats. This can increase the capacity (actualy 90.000). A retractable roof can be added to the project too.

I like the selection made by FIFA today. The best projects were selected and Brazil is well represented:

My rankings from most favourite to least favourite:

1. Jornalista Mario Filho Stadium, Rio de Janeiro
2. Beira Rio Stadium, Porto Alegre
3. Arena de Baxada, Curitiba
4. "World Cup City", Recife
5. Fonte Nova Stadium, Salvador
6. Estadio das Dunas, Natal
7. Governador Magalhaes Pinto Stadium, Belo Horizonte
8. Placido Alderado Castelo Stadium, Fortaleza
9. Cicero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium, Sao Paulo
10. Estadio Cuiaba, Cuiaba
11. Brasilia and Estadio Nacional
12. Manaus and Nova Vivaldao

Sucks that Belem didn't get selected, I wanted to rebuild the lower tier of their Olímpico Edgard Proença Stadium.

I too, but the new project for the Maracanã will be presented soon. Regarding the Morumbi, I wash my hands. Now the decision is with the FIFA and the LOC.

What a bullcrap.

Wembley and Maracana are together the cathedrals of football. The final should be played in the Maracana. Or else it would be a disapointment to the world and your own history. Dispite all the modern 'state of the art' commercial stadiums, the world still knowns some traditional venue's. One of the 2 old cathedrals is distroyed, be proud that you guy's still have one in the traditional shape.

The stadium will be an all-seater stadium, as it is already, this is a FIFA´S request. It´s capacity will be of 86.000 to 92.000, it still depends of some small adjustments to define the stadium´s final capacity for 2014 WC.

In spite of do not be an official decision, there are no doubts: Maracanã will host the final match.
