This would be the tallest building in Japan, but the Tokyo Sky Tree would eclipse this one as tallest structure.

I am happy that Japan is finally getting some taller buildings, and in Osaka! Osaka is one of my favorite cities. The people there are some of the most hospitable I have ever met.

This is a nice, subtle design, It will mesh well with Osaka's existing skyline.

The title says "U/C", the post says "proposed". Which one of the two is it?

Hey, not bad! I like all the trees they have on the different tiers.

I don't get it though. Japan is a small island with hardly any room for expansion, they have super dense cities like Tokyo but never build any really tall buildings to conserve space. China on the other hand, is massive and has plenty of room for expansion, yet there are so many huge buildings going up.

More like the tallest building in Japan....not the tallest structure...Tokyo Sky tree w/c is U/C is 611 m high....311 m higher than this building..or twice the height of this building

I haven't seen so much vegetation in any towers before, nearest ones are shanghai tower and american commerce center.

this is a nice project..but hope it will rise it soon...OSAKA is getting polluted and over crowded...it seem there must be a massive plan of the local government of osaka to focus this problem...

Abenobashi Terminal Building Complex Project!

Abeno district, is where the Abenobashi Terminal Building stands, a terminal with railways such as Kintetsu and JR and the subway (Midosuji and Tanimachi lines) entering into the district , and boasting 800,000 passengers who get on and off each day. Within the premises of our largest scale terminal, we plan to build a complex building called “Tower Annex” (tentative name) the highest-rise building of its kind in Japan-with 59 stories above the ground and 5 underground stories, comprising approximately 210,000m2 of total floor area and approximately 300m high. The facility consists of a train station, department store, offices, hotel, art museum and observatory. It is a big project combining our four core businesses including railway, retail, real estate and hotel & leisure facilities. We aim to complete the project in the spring of 2014.

kidding aside, if earthquake hits, this thing will be demolished in matter of seconds.

anyway, from what I see inthe renders, there are at least 5 separate towers, is the construction gonna be like for sears tower where the structure is divided into sub-towers?
