And you should be safe, there are no real problems. The fast majority of Japanese people have nothing against Koreans, they don't care about any Islands or politics. And even the nationalist won't do anything unless maybe when you start making a scene when you happen to come across a demonstration that don't happen too often anyway. 4 more pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://bluestyle.livedoor.biz/ |

I'm British and I recently passed through Osaka on the Willer Express from Hiroshima to Kyoto. I was absolutely amazed by the skyscrapers along the waterfront and near the bus terminal, I was also astonished at the sheer size of Osaka, but as much as I tried, I never even saw this tower (was about 3 weeks ago), so I am assuming it is not near the 'centre' of Osaka? It looks lonely on its own.

The city center is rather big, just like the metropolitan area. The Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto area is currently the 9th largest metro in the world, but since it's overshadowed by the even bigger size of Tokyo.
The bus terminal you talk about is next to the Umeda Sky Building, this is located at the north side of the Central Business District around the main station. Abeno Hakuras is at the other end of the city center, a good 6 to 7 kilometers to the South. The area in between is mostly low-rise with some pockets of skyscrapers, here are some of the main shopping districts. There are a couple of towers around this tower, but nothing really that comes close to a 300m high tower. There are currently no other bigger towers planned in this area, maybe that will change in the future. If this tower turns out to be a commercial success we could more developments in the neighborhood. |

A part of Tennoji Park has been lit up in a seasonal display of light. The tower also got a nice place in the display.

It does make me wonder if there will be future supertall skyscrapers in Japan, now that they finally built Abeno Harukas.
